I am such a fan of the striking look of white on black, and this was the first time I had a group this large for this variation. We used official Zentangle black tiles, white Sakura gelly roll pens and white charcoal pencils.
Rick's CD Sounds made for beautiful and mesmerizing background flute music and 2 hours zipped by while the class created 2 tiles. I just love the resulting gorgeous mosaics.
Tile 1: Flukes, Pais, Keenees, Fife |
Tile 2: Vega, Tagh, Keeko, "geo-mix"* |
These tiles are great! Like the tangles you taught. Happy that you had a full class... and sounds like it was a huge success!! Congratulations, Karen.
ReplyDeleteWish I had been in your class! I am glad it went so well, and I can see by the results, that lots of people had lots of fun! Hooray!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing student work - I'm always getting new ideas from them. I like seeing Fife on black tiles. It looks like white stars where the shapes meet.
ReplyDeleteLovely work! I need to put together a white on black class for the new year.
